Mission
Suicide has increased 60% worldwide in the last forty-five years. It is the third highest cause of death in youth and adolescents. It is growing alarmingly in numbers among the elder population. Recent reports reveal there are 22 suicides a day among U.S. military veterans and one U.S. active duty service member dies by suicide daily. The numbers of suicides have been overwhelming and treatment has not changed for decades.

The JSP3© is a method of suicide prevention based on peer support and education of the psychobiology of suicide. Although, peer support in mental health is well documented and is considered evidence-based practice in suicide prevention, there is no non-stigmatizing peer support program currently being utilized. Every single person in the world can benefit from this peer support protocol. It does not rely on any particular expertise. The requirements of the members of this protocol are simply honesty and willingness. Honesty is necessary for trust and responsibility. Willingness is required to learn the psychobiology of suicide and proactively partake in the mutual exercise of retraining the suicidal brain.
